Workshop that combines Hawaiian dance of Hula with mindfulness meditation to build resilience through harmony of body, mind and heart.
Happy Spring Equinox!
The Path of Hula and Zen continues with a workshop on Sunday March 21st from 1:30 - 4:30 pm, that focuses on Balance and Renewal.
Meditation is about cultivating awareness and deep listening that allow the mind and heart to relax and open. Hula is an embodied practice that cultivates a deep listening, awareness and care of your body. In Zen we say there’s no separation between you and the world, so when you meditate and when you dance, you are nurturing yourself and also nurturing the world.
We’ll meditate, embody compassion through hula, and do some writing practice to help connect our mind and body. This is the resilient and renewal Path of Hula and Zen.
Workshop includes
Mindfulness meditation basic instruction and practice
Basic self-care practices
Brief writing practice
We'll continue deepening into the Hula Kaiona about the goddess of the lost. Kaiona has become synonymous with compassion, one who helps another find their way.
Open to all levels. Scholarships available.
