Halau i Ka Pono is a Hawaiian Hula School in Chicago based in Oak Park, IL.  Kumu Hula June Kaililani Tanoue established the school in 2009.

Halau i Ka Pono means “place that cultivates the goodness.”  Our purpose is to share indigenous Hawaiian culture and stories through the joy of dance.

Halau i Ka Pono - The Hula School of Chicago is a nondenominational program of the Zen Life & Meditation Center, Chicago , a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.  All contributions are tax-deductible.  Your online gift will help the growth of the Chicago halau in it's mission of teaching the culture and stories of Hawaii through the joy of it’s dance: the Hula.  Mahalo nui loa!!!
