The Hawaiian Dance of Hula is learning to tell the story of Nature: the movement of the wind through the trees, the waves on the shore, life-giving rain, and the fragrance of flowers. It's the joyful story of our lives - the mindful movement of our hands, feet, and bodies.
Join us Sunday, July 31st from 2 - 4 pm for 90 minutes of fun instruction, gentle moves, and melodic, relaxing Hawaiian music. 20 minutes of performance will follow the class. All ages welcome, no experience necessary. Ridgeland Common Recreation Complex, 415 Lake Street, Oak Park, Illinois .
Kumu Hula June Tanoue is the teacher. She founded Halau i Ka Pono - The Hula School of Chicago in 2009 in Oak Park, IL. It is a non-denominational program of Zen Life & Meditation Center, Chicago.
