Workshop of Hula(Hawaiian dance) and Mindfulness Meditation that builds resilience through harmony of body and mind.
About this Event
The Path of Hula and Zen workshop on Sunday May 16th from 1:30 - 4:30 pm will continue to focus on Joy!
We’ll meditate, embody joy through hula, and do some writing practice, all important ways to help connect our mind and body. This is the resilient Path of Hula and Zen.
Meditation is about cultivating awareness and deep listening that allow the mind and heart to relax and open. Hula is an embodied practice that cultivates a deep listening, awareness and care of your body. In Zen we say there’s no separation between you and the world, so when you meditate and when you dance, you are nurturing yourself and also nurturing the world.
Workshop includes
Mindfulness meditation basic instruction and practice
Basic self-care practices
Brief writing practice
A Joyful Hula!
