Beginning In-Person Hula Classes for Ages 6-11.
Hula is the cultural dance of the Hawaiian people. The movements in this traditional dance reflect our natural environment: the play of the wind through the trees, sound of the ocean as it breaks through shore, the gentle nourishing rain, and the great land that connects us to a sense of place. Hand and feet movements tells the story of the elements and the plants that grow as a result.
Students will learn basic feet and hand movements along with two hulas. They’ll also learn the concepts of aloha (love) and Ohana (family). Boys and Girls are welcome! No experience necessary.
